Where are you located?

What is your connection to Nature's Sunshine Products?
In 2007 Nature's Sunshine became the founding sponsor of the Little Heroes Foundation. Since that time, Nature's Sunshine has helped provide funding for administrative costs and continually supports projects and events.
What is your connection to the Sunshine Heroes Vitamin Line?
Nature's Sunshine generously donates a portion of the proceeds from every bottle of Sunshine Heroes Vitamins sold to the Little Heroes Foundation.
Where do you give grants?
There is no geographic limitation to the grants we give out. We give grants to worthy organizations all over the globe.
What is your criterion for grant giving?
To apply for a grant the organization must be a 501c3 or equivalent. The program requesting a grant must also help children in the areas of health, education or youth development.
What is the decision process for grants and project funding?
The awarding of grants and projects are determined by our board of directors. Decisions are made based on the need, impact and sustainability.
How can you know that 100% of donations actually benefit children directly?
As part of the partnership between Nature's Sunshine and the Little Heroes Foundation, Nature's Sunshine helps pay for all administrative costs that LHF has. Therefore, all donations to LHF do not cover any administrative costs (employee salaries, office expenses, fundraising expenses, etc.)
Similarly, when LHF awards grants to other non-profit organizations, contracts are signed to ensure that the grant recipients do not use any portion of the grant on administrative costs.
How can I be involved in LHF?
There are a number of ways for individuals and groups to be involved.
1. Donate (see donate website page).
2. Volunteer (email info@herowithin.org to find out about volunteer opportunities).
3. Receive the monthly Little Heroes Foundation email newsletter (subscribe on the home page of this website).
Can I receive regular updates?
Yes. You can subscribe to the monthly email newsletter on the main home page of this website.
Do you accept in-kind donations?
Yes. To give an in-kind donation please contact info@herowithin.org.
Do you have opportunities for Eagle Scout projects?
Because we work closely with many different organizations in the non-profit sector, we do occasionally have suggestions for Eagle Scout project opportunities. All inquiries should be sent to info@herowithin.org.

Who is Travis Hansen?
Travis Hansen is most widely known for his professional basketball career. Travis started his career at Mountain View High School in Orem, Utah. He then continued on to play at UVU and later BYU. From there he was drafted into the NBA by the Atlanta Hawks. He continued on to play eight seasons in the Euroleague.
While playing in Russia Travis and his wife, LaRee, founded the Little Heroes Foundation. Today Travis and LaRee are both very involved in the foundation and continue in their vision to create a better world for children everywhere.
Each year Travis directs an annual basketball camp of which all proceeds benefit the Little Heroes Foundation.
